Rear Axle Codes 96 Surf

Post by jlmac »

I am trying to work out what axle is in the rear of my 96 Surf. I had a look at my compliance plate and the axle code is A02B.
Do anyone know what this means.

Hi madmont
I have read somewhere that Soarer diffs are the same internally but have independant rear suspension.

The earlier model Soarers and Supras from the 1980S may have had the same insides but not the JZZ series or the UZZ series from the 1990S

A02B
A = 200mm centre.
02 = 4.1:1 41/10 ratio. Old G Series codes don't apply
B = LSD.
