L28 injection

Post by JelmerMQ »

I can get my hands on a 280ZX injection engine. Can I just put it in my Patrol? Does this 280ZX has separate wiring for the engine? (injection/ignition system)
Patrol 2.8 '84, twin carburators, Z-car header, 280ZX cam, SPOA, ARB lockers f+r, Ramsey winch, 33" Maxxis Mudders and some rust....

use the search feature, I have read somewhere here about the swap, yes it has been done, but I am not sure what mods were required for it. Yes you will need the loom as it's EFI, engine and ignigtion should all be one loom.

I done it on my old MK. You have to splice the ZX harness into the standard one. There is alot that is the same, just a few diffrent ones for some of the sensors. I liked the conversion, you wouldnt think there is alot of difference between the two but there is. I didnt put the injection on the motor i had though, i just took the whole motor out of the 280zx and bolted it into mine.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)
