I got one of these bars a month ago after seeing how cheap they were from nissan.
The only things i have found to be diffrent to an arb bar is the nissan bar has bigger indicators (available genuine from nissan) and no holes on either side of the upright posts for ARB recovery hooks. Other than that they are identical to my mates genuine ARB bar at almost half the price...........

Guys, i have three winch bars i want to get rid of.All ARB ,2 low mount, 1 hi mount. 03 9740 6300 if your interested. Cheers Dave
wow $550 new, thats pretty cheap, i sold one of those second hand ( was on car for 2 years) for $400 years ago.
if i remember it was a decent bar, (as all arb bars are) but only suited to small winches and thats after work for punching out bits and drilling holes.
but i'd save a bit of cash and get a custom one from the many people making them.

The ARB bar uprights extend all the way through to the bottom as well. They just don't protrude through the front, so they would be of the same strength.
I had an ARB bar that I bent like a pretzel when I slipped off a rock and landed the weight of the car on the outside edge. Yes they are a good bar for what they are designed for, but they have their limitations. I now have a tube bar which is more suited to that sort of treatment.
As for the Nissan bar, if I was building a tourer it would be my choice for shear value.

What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.
