Hi People,
I seem to be getting oil coming up thru the solenoid on the rear diff lock on the Patrol. What causes it and long term is it detrimental?
Thanks Red Rover

When you say oil, do you mean a fine mist of oil spray on the inside of the bonnet/firewall, or a full stream of oil? The fine mist is normal, ejecting oil spray when you disengage the locker, most ARB stores will fit a drain hose to direct the mist away from the engine bay. A one way valve would not work because the compressed air from the locker would not escape, leaving the line pressurised and the locker engaged.
If it is a stream of oil, you may have some seals that need replacing - through age/contamination/poor install practices.

Built, not bought.
Thanks guys - it is only small whisps now it seems and hope. The breather was a bit restricted about a month ago when i checked it and I had since cleared the airline with the compressor and only a small whisp seems to come thru - would the air chamber in the locker hold much oil if was forced in with the breather blocked?
