16s?

Post by qld zook »

Finally my crappy road tyres that are on my suzi need replacing so i was gonna get some 30s but one thing i notice is i have 16inch mags which i like and want to keep but evey one seems to be running 15'' wheels, is there a reason/advantage to this. I went to a tyre place and the 'specalist' said that i should change to 15s but offered no explanition why (convenently he just happened to have some in stock).

exactly that
15's are more easy to get hold of and some good tyers arn't even maybe for 16's yet

but there are some good offroad tyers that are 16's though like silverstones
call ryano at fourby's he should be able to help you out

what size rubber do you have on there now ?
Do you want an agressive tyre or are you happy with a milder tread ?

If you are happy with a mild tread, have a look at some of the more agressive car type tyres for larger cars .. you should be able to find something that meets your need for pretty reasonble $$ .. There is no reason I can think of to swap back to a 15 inch rim.

Well it has 215/70/16 goodyear wrangler all terrains on it at the moment and i want to up grade to a 30'' aggressive type tyre and having just looked on their web site wrangler mtrs come in a various 16'' sizes and have got quite good reviews on this forum so they may be the way to go.
