defender electrical problems

Post by wazza73 »

Sorry if this has been covered already but...........

Having owned my defender for a grand total of 5 days i was driving today stopped at the shop for 5 mins max and now it wont start again.

It winds over but no fuel.

Can make it run if i run a lead directly from one of the batteries to the diesel pump.

No gauges work without this wire. I tried all the fuses i could find and the relays and circuit breakers.

Any ideas before i take it to the auto electricians in the morning and can anyone recommend a repairer on the gold coast preferably northern end. ( i am at oxenford)

Thanks a heap for any info you can give me

Hi wazza73, I can’t help you with your problem and if you don’t get the help you need on this site, and I would be surprised if you don’t get some good help here, try this other site.

http://www.aulro.com/afvb/index.php

It’s probably the best Australian site for all things Landy plus this is also the web site home for the Gold Coast Land Rover Owner’s Club which also maybe of help to you.
