100 series CV joints-IFS

Post by fisho64 »

Driver side outer CV joint on my HDJ100 has self-destructed, Repco and SC dont list a replacement for it, cant contact Toyota as it is the weekend.
Any advice on where (if any) besides Toyota they can be sourced from, how much approx and how much hassle to swap it would be appreciated!

well i dont know the price exactly but i was quoted $130 ea for cv's for a 60 series.

id suggest they would be a bit dearer so probably closer to 160 ea.

These are the cheaper ones made in china etc. You can get the aus made ones but they are closer to 270 ea.

CV and outer shaft is one piece, inner shaft is generally not sold with the cv's.\ and is not included in the prices i listed.

Just had mine up on the jack with wheel off, feels like the middle shaft is snapped at the outer joint.
