Guys,
I have a full length tradesman roof rack with a mesh floor and am wondering what peoples opinions are on optimal roof rack length i.e. full, 3/4 or half.
I am finding the full length one never gets put on due to weight.
Since i have the full one i have some options which is to leave as is or cut down or sell and buy smaller so if anyone has any ideas on optimal size let me know.

I assume it's steel, if you take it on and off with every trip or you are concerned about fuel economy I'd look at an ally one.
As for size really depends on what you carry up there, figure out what you'll put up there and lay it out on the ground and see what you need. What ppl carry on their roof varys as much as tyre brands. Best to work out what works for you.
