Nissan GU Steering Damper CHOICES ??

Post by Swerve »

Hey All,

I smashed my steering damper today into a large rock after getting offline. After realising I couldnt turn right worked out the damper was, well crunched.

After removing the dead unit I could turn again.

So what to replace it with a standard steering damper or a RTC damper just looking at http://www.4wd1.com.au/gu_patrol_wagon_trayback.htm
A RTC is $165 vs normal $120

What do you reckon ?

i have just fitted that rtc dampner to my gu and i love it, it will give better protection for the shock having a spring over it as it cant get hit as easy as the normal exposed ones and they look a hell of alot better to

I just had a tough dog rtc along with a superior draglink fitted. works a treat and got my steering wheel straight again.
