Was fitting the front shocks that i won in a Repco trade night raffle last night, and grabbed the LHF wheel to see if there was any play in the steering, and the Idler arm bushes are shot.
Does anyone know if you can buy a bush kit for the Bell Crank part of the idler arm or does a new one come with the whole set-up... bell crank and idler arm?
Cheers Gabe

NJ idler arm
Moderator: -Scott-
I was told yesterday by my mechanic that my idler arm needs replacing as well but, with the item only about $100 bucks for it and the pitman arm together it hardly seems worthwhile to replace only the bushes and not the whole lot completely. Ebay is even selling the whole lot for only £30 [$70 bucks] if you want to get the whole lot for less money.
Well i spent my saturday morning at work giving the old girl a once over. I replaced the flogged out idler arm bushes, removed the RH CV shaft and replaced the inner boot and outer joint (clicking from the arseholes i gave her last time i was out). Gave her a service, flushed and replaced the brake fluid and clutch fluid, power steering flush (was filthy) and did a full coolant flush... oh and fixed the air horns. So my paj is mechanically spot on and i am stoked!
And all this cost me a grand total of $17.70 for everything! WooHoo
Now all i need to do is get 2" lifted shocks for the rear and remove the rear sway bar and she will be tip top....
That is all.....
