as far as I know it has been done several times. The vh45, very similar to the vh41 is the most preffered option. The gearbox is very similar to the infinity so you can adapt the output shaft of the patrol onto the infinity and that allows you to bolt up the transfer case. What I have researched is it is alot of work to move all the accessories around like the alt and power steering as it is such a wide motor. 90 degrees  From what i have found there is not a manual conversion kit yet.

the links in the bible did not work because you have to remove the
/PHP_Modules/phpBB2
out of http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... hp?t=14855
and then it works

I'm in the middle of a VH45 conversion. Getting the motor in place is pretty easy. I've shifted the cab back 3" to clear the firewall and made new engine mounts. I'm using auto so that is a bolt together job as long as you use the Patrol back and Infinity front (of trans). At present of just changed bell housing and using it to mock everything up. When I take the body of again I'll get the trans swaped over then.
I'm using a VL commy PS pump and I've got a 70amp 24v alternator is getting new mounts but in the factory position.
The biggy is getting manifolds as factory will not fit at all. I'm making it harder as I'm turboing it and also have twin shocks that stick up into the engine bay.
Radiator inliet and oulet are the same as TD42 and I'm getting a TD42 rad fitted with a bigger core.
Starter is bolt in.
Get a long throttle cable from a Pathfinder (I think) and it will hook up perfectly.
Heaps more but it's early and it's been a long week.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)

I'm in Whangarei. A bit far for you to drop in for a look, anything you want to know just ask.
