Help needed ! :(

Post by Mulisha »

hi guys

Well today me having a day off work i thought this would be a good time to pull something apart so i did.

I pulled my Spedo and tacho that big cluster out of the car for the intension of changing the colour of my instrument cluster.

So i rang a few people i now of that do a few things to cars and asked them would it be sweet if i took my needles off so i can getting the backing off and they said yeah should be fine when it's all back together u will just have to set everything back to zero as it would have changed.

So i did this all today changed the colour etc and this afternoon i put the cluster back in plug it back up and :bad-words:

My Tacho when the car is started doesn't move just sits on zero but when pull the needle out a little bit it's seems to work fine but now it doesn't work at all.
My oil pressure and temp gauges don't work either i just can't see the problem...

I thought if put everything back in the zero postion when the ign is on they should all just work from there but it's not...

Did anyone have this problem becuase i need help badly as i need the car for Thursday maybe wednesday!

Thanks for any tips or anything

Rick.

You MADE them

Flamin heck, they look better than a bought one. How'd you make them?
Unless they are just printed on white paper or something I'm very impressed.
HAS to be a heck of a lot easier to SEE than the stock GQ/MAV ones.

That's one damn fine job you've done of them.

I printed them out on photo paper it feels kinda smooth... it looks 1billion times better then factory and makes the car feel more new not so old.
I'm very happy with the job took a fair while to do and had to get my gauges reset etc but it was worth it..

So who is gona copy me      :finger:

Mulisha,

I think you are the only one doing this conversion..looks a very good job indeed.

What colour scheme does the dash read now, and could you get the back ground lighting to read orage rather than the orignal green ( mines a 93 Mav)

Well done.

PS You'd better send me a set so I can...check it.... down at the RWC lab for ARB compliance and RWC :D
