turbo'd zook 1lt

Post by flyinwall »

Has anyone turbo'd a zook 1lt is it worth it? I was thinking of getting a turbo from a daihatsu charade and all the intake accessories and adapting them to fit the zook 1lt. What do you guys think about this idea?

I would think the poor 1Ltr would die very quick.

Rebuild a 1.6 with low compression and turbo would be a better option.

a early charade carby turbo would be nice i suppose (no computer, pumps, wiring) you'd be able to carry over most of it relatively simple. /that's if you find one, they are getting pretty scarce now.

The turbo charade engine did 50kws and 106nm of torque so it would be like upgrading to a 1.3l engine, but then again a camshaft, an intercooler and a 2 inch exhaust would probably give you a lot that the charade didn't originally have give you more than doing the same to a 1.3lt

something for the sketchbook i suppose (rebuilding the 1lt to suit would be a good idea)

suzuki used a small turbo on the "sportier" cervo/cappucino models.
It was used on a 3-pot big block 660cc engine and starting building boost up around 1500rpm. The torque and Kw figures were about 5 less than the daihatsu. Suzuki used this model to compete with the daihatsu charade Gti.
