The 3t is a 1.8

A 3T is 1800cc . From T-18 & Celica. Single cam in block but can be converted with 2TG (1600cc) head to make double overhead cam. jas
With the double overhead cam, that would be an interesting conversion ... as long as QT approves it.

I might be wrong, but maximum capacity in a Sierra to pass QLD Transport is 1.6 litres.

apparently maximum capacity is actually 1.9lt so i was told so the 3t would be legal in qld

I'm pretty sure its all to do with the weight of the engine and strength and style of the chassis.

I have spoken to a local engineer and he has no problem with 1.8 litres in a Sierra.
Can you please post or PM the name and number of the engineer you spoke to.....
