a d22 narvara rear lsd carrier fits in your gq front housing using your gq crown wheel

I've got an LSD from a Terrano II (the one with the H233B 31 spline diff). You could also use one ot of a Patrol MQ.
I "shimmed" the LSD and steering is a little awkward while on 4WD but will bear until I can drop an ARB front...try to change your hubs to manual or eliminate the auto from the OEMs

Rear OEM LSD wont fit in the front. Front is 31 splines and rear 33...

good luck

Just look at ARB's locker fitment guide on their USA website.

You'll find that H233B diffs go back as far as 1988 on various Nissan models. 31 spline and axle size 1.2something inch.

cheers

Never engage your 4WD on solid ground if you´ve got LSD front and OEM hubs. On soft ground it´s very nice...

Anyways, my manual AVM hubs are on their way...

What year pathfinder??

How much can you get these for from a wrecker?

Are they anywhere near as good as the gq rear lsd?

Yeh Yankee Dave,

My mech tells me the pathy diff needs machining to the point that the overall cost is same as an air locker. Did yours need machining, I notice you didnt reply to the last response!!! :?: :?: :?:

i think it was a 97 or 98 pathy,

cost me $300 for the centre

no machining at all.
I took out the 3rd member,
Removed the centre
unbolted the crown gear.
Bolted crown gear on lsd centre
Bolted whole thing in 3rd member
Checked back lash
Put back in car
Am now enjoying the benifit

Unless you can do it much cheaper I would go for an autolocker over an LSD in the front.

After all, its only engaged when you are in 4WD, and I would think would work much better than an LSD when you really need max traction (rocks particularly)

...but, a front LSD might be better at higher speeds on dirt (touring), dont have experience of this.
