it can't be done.... TD42 is too fragile... best off to buy a 3.0L GU engine or a 2.8L GU donk and run that... or maybe the motor out of a 1958 hillman minx...

i would like to apologise for my sarcasm (recieved or not).

in truth i should have said, yes the 4.2's can easily be turbocharged, i have heard of them running 48 pounds of boost which comes on at 6500rpm, perfect for any offroad situation.

by its aford not a nissan
well i know for a fact that a stock td42 will rev to 5500 rpm doing 80 kph in second just slight pump mods

I'm on a friends email. I have a steet driven gq ute with 210hp at rear wheels and about 800nm torque. cost me $7500 complete with upgraded fuel pump, front mount intercooler and 3in exaust, all put in for me. engine still has about 4000 rev limit. great fun, runs about 20psi boost and it puts you back in your seat at 100km/h.
