not real detailed but ....

Get someone else to help (or 2 is even better)

Fit screen into seal

Lube windscreen frame LOTS (I use liquid dish washing detergent and a little water)

Get some sash cord from the blind shop or any woven thin cord - rope is too thick

wrap cord into the seals groove -and have the cord start and finish in a bottom corner

get your mates to put the corner where the cord starts and finishes in place and hold screen so it does not drop and break

gently but firmly pull the cord throught the windscreen frame to the inside, this should pull seal into place as you go round the whole window - be careful.

Maybe 1 of the wraps of the telstra rope ... like the yellow bit size, the whole rope is way too thick

Haha im in same situation, i just removed my screen a week ago and cracked it getting it out. Now i can either fit a new one, or try to get the spare screen out of my softtop without cracking that.
Btw, if you do need a new screen, just take the old one if its still reasonably intact to a glazier and they will simply cut you a new one out of a sheet of glass, shouldnt be too expensive cos the screens arent curved.

Find one of the smaller guys around that do windscreens and ask them to cut you one out of an old truck windscreen or a sheet of the same stuff. Mine cost me $50. You'll do well to crack that when roping into frame, though if your unsure take the frame with you when getting the new screen.

I sucessfully removed my spare screen from my spare softtop so im set. Do you need another windscreen as a template cos you can have my cracked one for free for a template if you like, or is youre old one still intact enough?

Anyone know if the screen and rubber from a 85 NT hardtop will fit a 93 WT hardtop?

do what i did.. on my insurance i paid the extra 40 bucks a year for free windscreen (1 per year) then when i got the new zook and it got cracked i got it replaced free. drover one took 15 minutes to swap.. they said other zooks eg. WT can take longer due to them needing some type or sealant... or some shiz

I think they only seal them up with something if the rubber is perished a bit. I have a WT and didn't use sealant as the rubber was still good. Haven't had problems with leaks.

My brother used to be a glazier, so we made our own Zook windscreens. Coz they're flat, you can use laminated safety glass available from a glazier for a heap cheaper. Saturday mornings are an excellent time to sorce "offcuts for cash" ;) Use the old screen as your template.

Description above for fitting new screen is pretty well spot on. If my bro could do it, anybody can :)

As far as i know WT and NT screens are exactly the same, i just fitted my softtop WT windscreen into my NT hardtop frame, fitted perfectly.

acording to windscreens obrien the WT screens are a little bit bigger but only 5mm. So they do fit each other but they are different.
