How heavy is a 2.8 litre turbo diesel gearbox?? as ive fried my clutch and its going to need to be replaced.. Just thinking its gotta be heaps lighter than the 4.2 gearbox at 250 kgs :o
2nd question. just had a look under the car.. and i see oil all over the turbo... does it mean its rooted.. or just leaking :S.... im thinking im gonna have to take it out and take it to a turbo shop to get it overhauled? or should it be replaced with a diff turbo
Guess that puts off my engine conversion for a while - due to this is my daily driver and needs to be fixed now! :(

Question
God of Magnificant Ideas!
I doubt if there would be a huge weight differance but dare to say
there'd be some. It's also a question of "awkwardness" ..... g/box & transfer are a single unit as such and room restriction under the rig becomes an issue, have a look at the following thread it may help.
