my hilux is leaking deisel from the injector, a mate of my dad said he had similar probs with both a 2.4 and 2.8 and it was only a $5 rubber seal. Anyone had, know of this prob and how should i go about determining if it is just this seal and not something more serious, i tried cleaning up the area with degreaser then running it to see if i could spot where the leak was but no luck.
any advice would be appreciated
cheers blair

Geez that's good advice, this mod will also impove your economy...
Seriously, 'injector' or injection pump? If on the pump, whereabouts? Around the flat looking top cover, the end of the pump where the injection pipes come out of the distributor head (going to the injectors in the engine head) or around the fuel cutoff solenoid (round switch with a wire bolted to the top of it). There are seals in all these places, but not all are easy to change. Have a good look, maybe post a pic to show the leak.
Built, not bought.
