Worn carby needles with LPG

Ive got a 76 Rangie on dual fuel. But runs rich on fuel. It appears the carby needles are worn. has anyone had success with replacing just the needles and not the jets (as I suspect they are also worn)?

Evan why don't you use the adjustables that are available for the solid lifters? I think Real Steel sell them. Failing that you could skim the pedestals. The 3.5 one's are about an inch shorter and the hollow leyland ones are a much smaller diameter ball at the end than the socket on the rover ...

Range Rover Megasquirt EFI 4.4 Hand Cranking Start

This is my Megasquirt 4.4 Range Rover on a Hand Cranking Start. Never been on a dyno. Eng was free + rings bearings gaskets etc, $300 for megasquirt about $1500 for injection, fuel pump, dizzy and trips to Jacar. Lots of reading and problem solving, but a very reliable workhorse with heaps of sting ...

I know longer have the car but had it for several years with the P76/Rover manifold setup. The carbies were the standard SU type Strombergs that were fitted to the 3.5 engine, never had an issue with this set up at all, had plenty of torgue, no fueling problems. I had the rover heads fitted as well ...

when stainless hardware is mated against ally it increases the corrosion rate of the ally, unless you use a jointing compound full of chromate(s) like duralac or mastinox, to stop the flow of electrons.

Will a P76 crank fit in a 4.0/4.6 block, how do the journals compare?
p76 has larger main journals. You need to line bore the case/main caps and backdrill the flywheel from the crank.

The ver4 wolf allows you to set the target voltage for cruise so you are able to set a lean cruise. I have found that my 4.6 likes to cruise around 15.5/15.7. The megasquirt has got an Autotune (closed loop) function, that has made very easy to set the target exhaust/oxygen voltage at cruise 110 ...

Hi i am just chasing a little more info on the conversion to using the ignition module to run the megasquirt. I will be using Delco but the outputs will be the same. Did you change from a 4(or 5 pin) ign module to the gm 7 pin? From what i can see this is the obvious set up. Did you weld up the ...

The HEI is heaps less likely to miss when externaly wet than a stock one. I even opened my plug gaps to 0.050" and Ive never had it miss although I haven't actually completly submerged the engine. I got it sent from the states thru Ebay, I think around $200 ish overhauld with new leads cap etc. Just ...

It can be setup and calibrated to run with any MAF sensor but is designed for a MAP sensor mounted in the ECU. If you don't want MS to control the ign, you can set it up to get its signal from any dizzy's tach output. I've got it controling the ign so I've picked the signal directly off the variable ...

You can buy megasquirts pre made now, I can send you my setup and you could just bump the fuel map up a bit, it would be relitively straight forward. I highly recomend one of these for getting the fuel just right. http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/innovate-digital-wideband-controller-with-sensor-p ...

I'd be a little leary of the chassis ends as you now (technical speaking) have two pivot points there. Under compression the joint could buckle and flip.

You would have been better just to bend both the radius arm and trailing arms to suit the lift.
