As said have used chrome molley for links on 5 different cars I have built never had a weld fail .
All the eye lets that I machine up are only out of bright bar cant see you haveing a problem only ever welded up my stuff with a arc welder useing 13s rods just 2.5s.
Have done both the pre heat and ...

Honestly not after heaps of power. If i did go chasing it, the gearboxes dont like it in these things.
I actually got a price on that exact converter before getting the airod, but trying to talk to gas man about it, was if he was deaf. He laughed at the blos mixer.

Got the mixer early in the week, have the rest of the kit just waiting on some small odds and ends to get it done. Gotta say, as far as getting mitures right its a massive improvement on a ring mixer.
Will post some video when its all done, apparently works well on rovers so some of you might like ...

If you do go with 4340 the welding inspector at work advised me to pre heat to 124 degrees or straw color then weld with low hydrogen rods then post heat or at least let cool naturaly .Most I have done this way some I have just used a 13s rod with a bit more amps to burn in never had one fail yet ...

My kit including under bonnet accessories, 2 fillers for tanks, valves for tanks, lines, clips, screws bracket for tank to go in cargo area. Everything i need is 1000 bucks. Both tanks are in date. Hey guys,
Im going straght LPG on my GQ in the next week or 2.
So far have the 115ltr tank thats bolts into the original petrol tank mount and another 100ltr for the cargo area.
Been in touch with a gas fitter to supply everything else i need to complete install and he will certify given ...

Yeah mate thats right, complex positve type converter pretty sure.
Been talking to gas bloke about getting the rest of the kit, he suggested the larger Airod converter.
I did also talk to gas research about the under bonnet kit, adds about $600 to the setup and there is only one bloke i know of in ...
