Cousins or Auction

I've recently bought a cruiser through Cousins in Brizzy and found them to be very good. Had the car a couple of months now and have no complaints, still happy with it and would go back next time. Also get 3 month stat warentee through Cousins that you don't get through the auctions. If you ...

Mostly used for towing a boat, but I manage to get it on the sand quite often and have the occasional play up at Cruiser park. Also planning to take it up to the Cape next year. A fairly good variety of different uses. Currently has Monroe gas shocks which seem to give it a harsh ride unless it has ...

Sounds very much like you have a leak. A bit of washing up liquid in water is great for finding leaks, just dab it on with an old paint brush and you should see bubles appear where the leak is.

Happy hunting

Suspension Change

I've been looking at suspension changes for my 99 NL Paj and I'm thinking of going with the Tough Dog foam cells with a 2" lift Cookie Monster seems to like his. Any other thoughts on what they're like? I've also been told that the rear has sagged by about 20mm  , car has 165k on the clock ...

I've had similar probs before, popeye is right most probably air lock problem. Took me ages to get rid of it but try moving the hoses around and giving them a good squeeze (with gloves on) when hot.

Good luck it is a pain in the rear

Seems to be pretty safe buying of private people on ebay just trading stuff but IMHO don't bother with the companies making a living out of it, it's generally cheap shit made to sound good. Had some great stuff from private sellers though

How much can you trim the bump stops down by? I've heard that you can't trim the lower stops, is this true?

Be great if someone could post some pics so I could get a bit of a clue.

Cheers :)

Refrigerant is a very efficient degreasing agent (it used to be used in the dry cleaning industry), therefore the gas will strip the oil from the compressor and carry the oil round the system. Although the two are technically separate you will find oil in all parts of the system. Correction to ...

BTW if you replace one gas with another ie swap R134a with R22 you will also need to replace all the oil seals and lines as well. Too much hassle, just make sure everything is clean and you've got the right gas charge in it.
