Re: 1FZ-FE Occasional Miss

Hi all

Thanks for the responses guys. My FIL retired 3 years ago, so it's more of a long term issue.

He's put a few courses of injector clean through it to no avail.

I'll try the Hendra bloke Scanas, ta for that.

1FZ-FE Occasional Miss

Hi All My father in law has a 1997 80 Series with a 1FZ-FE with 150K on it. It regularly 'misses' and loses power which it then finds again and takes off at the usual great rate of knots. This miss seems to be getting worse. The car has had an odd life in that it doesn't have a huge number of km's ...

100 Series Radiator Replacement

Hi All My wife's '99 100 series petrol auto has a cracked top radiator tank. I've been quoted $235 to replace the top tank; $299 for a new radiator and $345 for a new radiator with metal tanks. Are these prices good? Can you give me someone preferably on Brissie north side who does better deals? Any ...

Re: 100 Series Mirrors + fuel economy

Thanks Guys I usually inhabit the Nissan Tech sections, so I'm still learning about wifey's 100. It is a very nice car, nice to drive a car that doesn't shake the sh*t out of the steering wheel 80-100km/h! I'll have a look at the wreckers for a 2003 onwards 100 for the sun visors. What about cup ...

100 Series Mirrors + fuel economy

Hi All Well, the wife still loves her 1999 model 100, but misses some of the interior appointments that the previous NM Pajero and even GU Patrol had. The cup holders and storage areas way up the back are brilliant, but she misses the vanity mirrors in the sun visors. Did they appear in later 100's ...

100 Series Cup Holder Insert

Hi All

What is the story with these things?

Any link to where to buy?

Nice car to drive, seems weird to drive a car without front end shudder! (2001 GU!)

Thanks in advance!

Wife Just Bought a 1999 100 Series

Hi All As a seasoned Nissan owner (haven't owned a 'yota since I sold my LN65 Hilux in 2002), I need some advice on my wife's latest purchase. She's bought a 1999 100 series GXL with a (4.5L) petrol and auto. It only has 130K kms on it and she got it for a reasonable price when she got sick of the ...

Re: Am I crazy? ...thinking of selling the 40 for a GU

I'm thinking I'll get the GU and perhaps down the track (i.e. when I buy a place with shed) I'll get a zook etc for a fun toy. Not too keen on 100 series, I think for the same price I prefer the look of the GU's... When I got rid of the Mav', that was my plan too!! (Get a Zook and put hilux diffs ...

The locker will bolt in not a prob, the zd30 have the small rear diff. Aaah NO. I've got a 2001 manual and it has the H260 rear diff. Apparently alot of the ZD30 and TB45E manuals have the H260 whereas the auto's have the H233. Not sure about the auto's (only what I've read on here and other forums ...

Yeah, I've got that covered, I have a 3m drag chain that has "eyes" on the end to balance the pull. I try to do this even with my chassis'ed 4wd's.

As above, just so I know how to IF my wife gets bogged on the beach (or elsewhere).

Where are recovery points or do I need to fit some and what are the rules for using/fitting them?

Wife Just bought a 2000 NM Pajero........

It's a 3.5 V6 manual and seems like a good thing. We've always had patrols (except for a Hiliux and a Surf nearly 10 years ago), so I don't know much about Paj's. She bought as a family car and it's better on camping trips than her VZ SS!! She'd only be towing a box trailer (we have 8 kids and ...

I'd think that stock would be the way to go. I thought 'big' cams created more power HIGHER in the rev range, at the expense of power/torque in the lower rev range, which = bad for 4b's.

Therefore, stock.
