Re: Lightforce HID 140 comparison

I ended up putting 100w HID's in the super oscars and they are super bright.
Now will 140 lightforce 100w HID set to spot give much distance?

cheers.

CB aerial cable switch

I am wanting to run two aerials for my CB, one gutter mount and one on the B/Bar. Is there a switch that I can get or can I just use an ordinary DTDP switch?

Cheers.

Re: alt/charge light

I have not checked the globe but will tomorrow, I have an after market monitor that tells me the volts and what the alt is putting out.
battery is 12.7 and alt is 14.1 when driving.
I have no idea where to start looking for a fault.

Lightforce HID 140 comparison

I have a set of cibie super oscars spread and love them, I have some room for a pair of 140 lightforce. I would like to know if I put a HID kit in them (50w or 100w) how would they go as a spot beam with the oscars?
Would they stand out or are they not so strong?

Was real easy to fit but needed to retap the hole to NPT.
the gauge is digital and got it from the states, about $100.00 with prob.
I wanted to keep the gauges the same as the ones I already had.

coolant temp

I have fitted my coolant/engine temp gauge now and need to know what is normal for the temp. It seems to be sitting between 65 and 70deg C or 160 and 70deg F.
This is a digital gauge and its on a 2000 GU 4.2 TD.

Thanks Lightbulb, I already have one on the main battery in the patrol but there is no insulation in it, air just blows in and around the battery.
If this is not what you mean let me know.

Battery insulation

Has any one come up with a good way to insulate there second battery under the bonnet? We all know that engine heat lowers the life of the battery so was thinking why not insulate it.
The insulation would have to be thin but highly effective, if there is suck a thing.
Any comments welcome.
