Drivers door wont open on Disco

***94 Disco***

Havent pulled the door lining off yet so I thought I would ask for advise before instead of the usual "after".

Havent been able to open the door from the outside quite frequently because the lock has dropped down (frustrating as all hell), and now the door wont open from the inside ...

92 j-top fuel pump not working

1992 J-Top V6

For some reason the fuel pump doesn't seem to be working.

I know its fuel because I can run the motor by spraying 'start you bastard' straight into it.

Does the fuel pump run off the computer ??

Wiring seems to come off tank the split going both left and right, I was hoping to just ...

Just took it out for the 1st time in weeks since it failed a warrant on a couple of small things, its running nice. I even dropped it into top gear at about 90k and it seems to have good power, wouldn't say it has great pick up in 5th, but it had pick up. Cant really test it around here, firstly ...

Its an 84 carb model. I purchased it in poor condition, steering box wouldnt hold oil it was leaking that bad, broken front axle, and a bunch of other stuff. I dont think its had any maintainance for quite some time, or it might be more honest to say its been abused, but it has some good stuff on it ...

petrol pump, click-click

84 RR, if I turn the ignition on the petrol pump doesn't stop clicking, I'm told is a possible air leak ?

Also would this give a lack of power on take off, and in top gear (5th) on the open road, it runs smooth. It runs good and has pick up in all gears but on the open road I need to keep changing ...

I'm not worried about the RPM at this stage, I'll just be happy to get some kind of reading at all. Trying to find out why this thing has no power on take off or in 5th on the open road, and struggles to pull a trailor. I'm having a bitch of a time finding a replacement motor 3.5 or 3.9.

I have an ...

compression testing

There seems to be some disagreement on which way a compression test should be done.

Are you meant to take all the spark plugs out then do the test.
Take one plug out at a time, test then replace before moving on to the next plug.
Or doesnt it matter.

I had always thought it was one plug at a time ...

I recently purchased an 86 RR that has a suspension lift and is running bigger rubber - 265/75R/16. At time of purchase the vehicle wasn't going. Its a work vehicle (towing trailors) and my weekend mud machine.

I've finally got this thing on the road, but what a pig (a pig I love). It doesn't like ...

87 Rangie

I still havent figured out what all these dash lights are for, figured out that 1 of them was a warning light for the disc pads.

I now have one flickering that is in the middle bottom, looks like a circle with a broken circle on both the left and right (3 lines each side).

Any clues ...
