quick one for you. Got a zook 1.3L with a webber and standard exhaust. want it to breath a little better.will it be ok keepin the standard engine pipe and adding a 2" system with hot dog and resonator or will i have to add extractors? will this pipe be enough or ...

hey EXHAUSTFIX, i have an 81 SWB MQ patrol, SD33 engine, would running a 2.5 zorst in a straight line from engine to rear make much dif? or is it just gunna mean i wont use as much pipe?:P hole in current one and was thinkin bout replacing the lot...

Just a quicky, i have a sierra 1.3. it has extractors and a 2" exhaust with hotdog. Will a straight through exhaust give me a bit more power?(it'll be for offroad/comp driving) even if just helping a little, its a gain i need! LOL

Hi there Exhaustfix,
Just wanted to run a quick one by you.
I have a 4.8 Patrol and have just recently put a set of extractor and hi flow cat and exhaust on it. It is still waiting to get a resonator so is very loud but the problem I have is since having it fitted it has ***** the idle.

Hi Exhaustfix,
My exhaust is RS and in need of replacement. It's on a 3Ltr V6 Pajero.
Bitsamissin has this setup
Yep I've got Genie extractors, high flow V8 Guppydore cat, high flow muffler and 2.25" exhaust. It made a noticeable difference.
You need some backpressure so a 2.5" is too large ...

I will be starting a Ls1 into a GQ Conversion very soon, and am having troubles finding someone that can either sell me or make headers that will clear the chassis. Are you able to supply / make such a thing ?

gday mate, ive got a TD42 with snorkel and pacemaker extractors, im wanting to get a turbo but that will probably happen towards end of the year.
which exaust set up would be best for?
alot of people say 2.5 inch so i dont lose L4 grunt.......

I have an 85 4runner with a Holden 253 in it. My question is do you know if anyone make a set of extractors to suit? If not any ideas on what i might be able to get in sort of easily? Or if worse came to worse what would you charge for a custom made set?

G'day i've got 1.3L G13A, it has a factory 4-1 exhaust system, i was wondering if it'd make difference after fitting 4-2-1 extractor with the original exhaust system as it's nearly new?
Or do you recommand fitting in sport system for up to 2 inch?

Has stock exhaust on it atm..
Im wondering what the costs will be to wack a decent system on it... Not overly fussed about the noise, I've got extractors on my hilux now that are loud.

hi
I have a Tb42 turbo now and i want it to make a fair bit of noise and sound good..
I'm going to have a 3" mandrel system it's on a GQ patrol short wheel base..
Guy at the exahust shop said a straight thru muffler will be quiter then a muffler with a plate or something inside it..

howdy, is it possible to run a 1HZ turbo intercooled high psi, with a 3" into almost 4" stacks? behind the cab, no mufflers
that may be a bit loud or sound like a boat i think u may need 1 straight through muffler
that wasnt the question ;)

got a turbo diesel 4.2 patrol with a high mount turbo. got my 3 inch exhaust fitted up today which was all good. however i was hoping for it to be all the way up to the turbo but instead they stuck with the standard turbo dynamics dump pipe which from memory is around 2 3/4 inch ...

Currently building a 1.3l zook and its time to start to think about the exhaust.
Just wondering what size pipe to use ? I will be fitting extractors as well.
Its more a trailer queen that DD so noice dosent realy bother me that much, I am looking for the biggest power gains possible.

I have a 4.5L patrol on dual fuel, what exhaust would i need to get it sounding a little better but not too much droning and a little extra performance? Would extractors have any benifit? How much would a system cost? thanks!

there is not a lot of room to run a twin so u will possiably have to run a 2.5" single 2 cats 1on each side then into a single large straight through mufflers

ok. final question i think. runing a single turbo on an 8, will putting it on the left hand bank with a pipe joining to the right hand bank screw the valves to bad? alot like the kits they make eg. capa ls1 kit. except with it lined up along side the cylinder bank.
this will not hurt valves ...

G,Day I am informed that a petrol 4 Runner V6 will benifit from Hurricane extractors and 2" into single 2.5" sports exhaust. Then once inlet mods are made a half decent power increase will result.
On the exhaust side do you see anything wrong with the setup above.

yes it is a cat and it is not legal to move the position of a cat all you can do is get a large dump with a better cat in it
