I use a Marks Adaptors variable speedo ratio box on my 07 hilux.
you wire it in in series between the speedo pickup wire going to the dash from the pickup itself.
there are 2 settings so you can do one setting for daily tyres and at a flick of the switch have it set for your weekend tyres.

Re: Spongy brakes
I got my brakes sorted recently. Dual diaphram booster, standard 13/16 master cylinder. Got a shop to do it as I wanted a professional brake bleed. I fitted larger calipers with bigger pistons by the way. The shop found out that when ARB did my diff gears, they didn't adjust one of the rear drums ...

Theres a member on here that tried them on the rear of his 80's solid axled hilux. His name is yamaha_308. this is what he quoted me via a PM ages ago - The coil front end leaves are not actually longer than the IFS ones, but the pin location is different. Ive been running the 150psi solenoid on the small compressor on both lockers for the past year without issue. i dont crash lock it, but the extra pressure to keep it all engaged I think is a good thing.

Im in the exact same position. Tried fitting bigger calipers along with my dual diaphram booster and couldnt get any pedal pressure even after bleeding it properly. the factory 13/16" master cylinder is too small to pump the extra fluid pressure required. I bought a prado 90 1" bore master cylinder ...

The current generation of Marlin adaptors allow a full 360 degree of rotation ability. not that you need it, but there is not need to lift the drivetrain when you can clock it for a flat belly.
with 2" bodylift there will be heaps of room to clock it for a flat belly.

If you have the patrol 16x8 +10 offset wheels these are ideal for running a 285/75x16 on these trucks. You'll have to remove the front mudflaps and depending on what suspension you have if you do manage to get full bump travel your tyres will just touch the top of the guards on compression. Fitting ...

Bolt on a current tundra Total Chaos or Camburg or similar long travel suspension kit and you'll have a great performing setup.
Aftermarket diff gears are available aswell upto 4.88:1

there have been a large number of tough dog shock failures in current model hilux's......so much that a mate that used to stock them has said some retailers are taking them to court to recoup costs that Tough Dog wont pay the stores for warranty claims made by customers.

Test drive a new Ranger, I reckon they will be excellent for towing, mountains of torque and good gearing. Really? Mountains of Torque? Carbuddy quotes 380Nm, whereas the Nav D40 is quoted as having 403Nm or 550Nm, dep on spec... Ranger: http://www.carbuddy.com.au/car/values/specification/default ...

Ive run mine on a typical 3 " lift for 80,000km without a problem. Ive fitted the monster rides kit now and have had it in for 5,000kms without problems. Re: Strong transfer with a 1:1 ratio in high
Why not use a chain driven hilux transfercase?
High range is 1:1 in them and low range is 2.56:1 and they are strong as.
If you need any more reduction then mate a Crawl box infront of it......either with another set of 2.56 gears or 4.7's.....
would increase your torque immensly to the diffs.

4.11 is correct. You are very mistaken sir.... TMUZZA, go to your local toyota dealer and he will prove to you that your turbo diesel (1KZ) Manual (G52) came out with the 3.727:1 diff ratio. The 5L - 3litre diesel came out with a 4.556 : 1 diff ratio The 5VZ 3.4V6 came out with the 4.1:1 diff ratio ...
