Sorry to hijack the thread but I've just had the Ignitor installed in my tb42. It runs real well on petrol redlines freely, but on gas under load it starts to breakdown at around 3500 rpm. Any ideas as to why it would be doing this?

When it backfired it might of wrecked the diaphram in the mixer and could be sucking air in. I played with the mixture screw on mine and adjusted it to much and it showed no sign on firing. And i think correct me if im wrong but the mixture screw on top of the mixer adjusts the air gas mix. cheers ...

Bogged just out interest what happens to all those blokes that do Ateco, Outback, Vicwinch when there been goin for it in a SS come to deep water

Luke a bloke called troy gill on this forum has a Gu that has been chopped in to a ute, he is from Newcastle and has made his own exo and is a bloody neat job. You could try to PM him he might sent you some pics if you are lucky

The ones you have shown i think are off a Ti model. A mate of mine gets his from Autobarn L&R hand, I think off the top of my head the price was 60 bucks each. The local manager from Autobarn gets them from a company called Roadsafe. I could get the part numbers if u wanted? cheers joe

Madmac when fitting the ignitor do you have to remove the distributor to
grind the ring down on the shaft, to get the magnetic ring to fit on the shaft. Or does it fit with out removing the distributor?
