My vote wouold be for no, I know a parts guy at Toyota pretty well, and before I bought I had several long talks with him. Yes 90% of the rig is the same. But he pointed out several times that it's to 10% that people have trouble with. He reckons that the 60''s running gear (the same stuff) - esp ...

Factory rear air in 100s
Guys, I've got an 04 100s, and I know that rear air is available in some models (saharas, post dec 05 GXL's etc). Has anyone got the factory rear air installed as a retro fit option ? If not - has anyone got any ideas on reducing the stuffiness in the back for the kids ? - those cheap $10 12v fans ...

Here's another interesting bit of info.... Just put new rad / water pump in the old girl (61 12h-t). Got the block back flushed by a radiator mob and filled with new coolant. Took it away, and couldn't get the temp gauge to budge !! Only moved ever so slightly at 100 on the freeway. Hooked the boat ...

Here's a left fielder for ya !! My aircon was playing up - not cold at idle, took ages to get cold etc... Had the compressor ripped out. Now I'm driving it around for a few days while I wait for the new compressor. I notice that I have done far more K's (Ireckon 100km at least ) to this tank (100l ...

Can't say for sure - Mine doesn't seem to blow that much black smoke. I'll have a look the next time I'm driving behind my mate. (Forgot to add, had the injecotrs done at the same time as the dyno) I've just installed my boost gauge and Pyro - looking foward to fitting the boost controller - I'll ...

Hey guys - just a side note - why is the gap between manual and auto so large. I have a 12ht auto, and I'm geting around the 14's (guys did tune it for power rather than economy when I had her dyno'd though) This seems to be about the standard - as others have noted (Shadow etc..) I have a mate that ...

Hmm, The number of replies here that are implying (Stating ?) that their trucks get hotter when running on the open road has me wondering if the cooling system isn't a bit on the small side. Yes the rad looks fairly large, but with the auto trans and dual aircon (and fridge), Im wondering if it aint ...

Well, Took the cruiser for a run from Mandurah down to Bunbury for christmas- small trailer in tow. During the day (25/30 degrees) - front and rear aircons on, fridge on, 100 km/hr. sat on 3/8 to almost 1/2 on odd occasions (hills etc). Came back last night - no aircon, and probably low 20's outside ...

Towing witha 12ht
I have a 2t boat, and I find that I can really sit on 90, maybe 100 tops with my boat.
A mate of mine has a 13B-T and tows his similar sized boat - he easily hits 120/130.
How do others here go towing that size weight behind a 12h-t ???
Thanks
Dave

61 Sahara - Ice box switch
Guys,
Fairly simple (Straightfoward ) question..... the 61 Sahara (87 on ?) has a factory cooler / icee box between the two front seats. It has a three way switch on the top. Off is the middle position.
What's the difference between the switch rocked to the left ot to the right ?
Cheers

Hmmm, Starting to narrow it down a bit... Shuts off fine when cold - only have a problem after a med (30 km) run. Seems to be temp dependant. -> Unlikely to be vacuum. I presume there is a switch that opens the vacuum line to the intake shutter diaphram (sp?). Anyone got any ideas where this might ...

Hi guys, Just a lucky one.. pulled up at the shops, got out, was looking at something, then thought hmm, turbo timer's running a long time - must have bumped the switch to 5 mins. Went out to the car - nope, turbo timer light is off. Lucky I caught it then, otherwise it might have runa few hours ...

Birfield Toyota 60 series manuals download problems
Guys,
Is anyone else trying to download from the birfield site 60 series engine and body manuals?
Ive been trying for a couple of days, and reported the broken links, but they just don't seem to work.
Does anyone else have this problem - or is it just the way I've got mybrowser set ?
Cheers
