I am currently in the middle of an extra cab / chassis extend conversion to my HJ47 Troopy - still some months away from finished - i'll start a members thread one day and show what's going on. I don't seem to have the Add An Attachment prompt anywhere for adding pics - is there a different way now ...

When you are talking about pushing around the weight of a 60 then there is no substitute for cubic inches. Basically, forget the V6. Ever hear of anyone swapping in a V6 into a landcruiser? There is a reason!

Huh, surely they will always read left to right. As in TOYOTA LandCruiser

I assume your talking about the badge on the bonnet support panel above the front guard? Not sure how they could be any other way unless I'm not understanding correctly.

The split bonnet you have is off an early year 40. They changed to the one piece at some stage (don't know of the year). You will need to find one off a 40 from a year nearer to your 45 model. I'm not sure if the split bonnet was the only bonnet change throughout the years of 40 series production ...

You will need to get it engineered at least to reduce the seating capacity, and aslo to get the structure checked where you fab the back wall - assuming you're going to close the back in - so top half shorty bottom half troopy? Yep, thats the idea - swb top, troopy bottom. Talked to my mechanic and ...

I don't think there is such a thing as a fitted tarp available. Don't think a jeep top will work either. Getting a bikini top made for you will not cost very much and a full softop made from an upholsterer is going to cost more but still reasonable I think. Shop around and get one done by a place ...

40 swb hardtop on 47 troopie??

Before I get really serious about this, does anyone know off hand If I need engineering approval to put a swb hardtop onto a troopie tub? I'm in Queensland BTW. I know it can be done just want to know if I'll have problems getting it legal.

Any info or pics appreciated.

The wider your tyres are the better. not true. The taller your tyres, the better. Too wide, and they will consume too much width-ways surface area. Taller, on the other hand, and they only consume lengthways surface area. (If that makes any sease) The only mod i'd do to your truck for better beach ...

2f Carby Q

Hi all, new here...why did it take me so long to find this forum. Best read since the Davinci code, lol, and I've only got about 180 pages to go! :D Anyway my question is about the stock 2f Carby. I've had two rigs with pretty stock 2f engines - a 45 and a 40 series. Both had extractors and the 45 ...
