fair enough. if i was to happen across a good cheap hilux box id look at doing that, sadly over here it seems to be that you can almost buy a complete lux cheaper than just the gear box

for the bellhousing would it be an option to just cut the oldone off the gear box and weld the new one on to it. heard of it being done to other boxes not sure what ones though.

did you do anything to the injectors and or computer, also id only be running 3-5 psi through it just to give it a little bit of a help along

i have heard that these motors are prone to cooking heads when running a turbo did you have any cooling troubles or did you run a intercooler?

hows things was wanting to know if anyone has turbo a fez?
if so what has been done ie computer injectors etc and what kind of turbo off what vehicle as well

any info would be good as im looking at doing it to mine if its cheapish

i think there was a few rocky's that came out with out the pto unit but still had the gear attached to it its under the plate on the back of the transfer case for memory

i think for memory it is the ln106? but these changed the position of the diffs quite considerably, had to move the fuel tank to the tray, and make a longer drive shaft plus lengthen all the brake lines and hoses, cut guards etc, best bet is to measure the length of springs that are already in it an...

looks great..have you tried to fit fez guards,bonet,grill & nose cone to your rocky?? nope i havent tried, the bonnet wouldnt fit as for memory the rocky body is slightly wider, but in saying that that width could just be in the guards might have a measure up one of these days. as for the geari...

yeh sure has. now just got to save up enough money to do my next project which will be along the lines of what piglet racing has done with his fez, body swap onto a different chassis but not as hard out as his also im going to keep it road legal, damn uni fees halting my ideas :bad-words:

the hilux diffs will follow this was just an easy way round having to do a lot of cutting and grinding to fit the 2.8 and the solid front diff, and if all i have to really change is body mounts i can live with that
