Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i've just put a v8 injected 5 litre in my GQ, and it does have more power than the nissan donk, but i need to change the cam to give me more low down power rather than up higher in the rev range.
the conversion i did myself, for the marks kit and the v8 and bits and pieces cost me $4300 all up, but ...

Dam I am surprised that the 700mm shocks will go. So before we go doing anything, are you certain about getting the longer shocks and coils not falling out.

ok i've disconected sway bar and shock crossed up 4b.
can easily fit 700mm shocks befor shocks come loose.


but the amount i have to cross it up to need the bigger shocks is alot!

at the moment the shocks top out while driving on the hyway over largish
bums such as the joins in a bridge.

Extended lengths are correct, so it sounds like one of them is valved too stiff. This is a 1st. Do you think the good one is valved too firm for your liking also. Maybe a shock with softer valving would be suited to you better such as EFS shocks.

Yeah, need a measurement from centre of eye to centre of eye when the shock is extended. Also are those coils blue?


yes their blue lovel coils, i brought the lift kit off you last week

yeah i checked that the other day and i put a little more rubber lubricant on it

all bushes fine.
had a mate look at my car when going over a spoon drain and speed hump at 5kmph, when exiting the drain the LH passenger side wheel leaves the ground and the car tips down to compensate for the wheel being in the air, and thats only going 5kmph!!!!

tried it going a bit faster ...

hi all

just put in a 2" lift in my patrol, lovel springs (HD rear) and dobinson shocks.

when ever i go over a bump on the road the rear passenger side seems to jump, it makes the car shake

what could it be?
i wouldnt think having heavy duty springs in the rear would do this.
