From memory you have to remove the entire sliding window. Once the window is removed you can access the nuts that hold the window surrounds on.
The windows are held in with some sort of silicon, can't remember the name of it. I remember the guy that removed my windows used heavy gauge fishing line ...

Help me make a decision - Road legal, truggy or buggy
I have been trying to rebuild my chopped 4runner to be fully road legal. It will have a rear 4-link suspension with coil-overs. For this to happen in WA I need pre-approval (which I have), engineered and then lane change and brake tests to get it legal. So a bit of work and cost is involved. Now I ...

GQ/GU Suspension Bush bolt size?
I am using standard rear trailing arm GQ/GU Suspension Bushes for my 4 link suspension. I am a few question:
What bolt size is needed for this rubber bush?
Is there any sleeve used between the bush and the bolt?
Does the standard patrol suspension use a washer/spacer between the bush and the ...

Part number for GQ rear trailing arm bushes
Does anyone know the part number for a genuine GQ trailing arm bushes?
I think they are 55045-06j00, but I want confirmation that these are the correct bushes to use?
I am making a 4 link for the 4runner and want to use standard rubber bushes in the links.
Thanks
Chris.

The only way to get good flex out of a toyota rear end is to use longer springs and lower spring rates. But if you do this you will need to run a track bar to stop axle wrap.
Here are some links to long rear conversions. These are USA based springs but you should be able to use the same principles ...
