Problem with Auto solved
Some feedback.
After weeks of frustration, replacing TPS, changing TCM,paying agent to fix problem and even supplying him with info that pointed to solenoid #1 in gearbox malfunctioning, they just adjusted kickdown cable and said problem fixed.

A/T shift problem
Hi,
My 3,5L Auto (96) has developed an intermittent problem which I previously thought was overheating. As I have installed a temp probe, I can see that the temp. is below 75degC when the problem occurs. So it was never temp.
After functioning fine, suddenly the vehicle will try to pull off in ...

I have traced Castrol TQ DeXRON III as well as Castrol Transmax Z, a thinthetic oil. It seems as if both are good for my vehicle. As the synthetic spec says it is compatable with mineral oil and I have dexron II in at the moment, it seems I should be able to go to Transmax Z.

I have had my vehicle since May last year (Pajero 96 3.5 DOHC auto) and realy enjoy it.
Had the auto oil changed 6000 km ago but last week whilst leasurely traveling trough trafic, I could not pull away at the robot. It seemed something was slipping.

Blinking 4WD lights. Real cause found!
I solved the problem eventialy.
The real one this time as it turned out not to be a faulty switch. ( but it was the switch not being able to change state)
Just to let you know what the cause was in case it might help someone else.
The 2W/4WD switch on the transfer case was actually OK ...

Does anyone have experience with air lifters for the rear suspension of a Pajero.

2WD/4WD Position Switch, How activated?
I have traced the fault of my Blinking 4WD indication lights to the switch on the Transfer case, (rear one on driver side) that does not switch when shifting from 2WD to 4 WD. I have removed the switch and it functions as should but it does not change state when the Transfer gearlever is shifted ...

4WD indication lamps on 3.5 Pajero, Auto 96 model
Hi,
I know this comes up every now and then.
I am now experiencing the problem.
I used my vehicle in super-select 4WD this week-end - No problem. Came back on highway and slowed down to 120km/h, pushed it into 4wd and the indication lights kept on flashing. took it out and in a couple of ...
