There's another good discussion about this on here somewhere, I read it before purchasing my padding. From memory it needs to be around 40mm thick and of a certain density, and armaflex is suitable.

Save your money, it's the same shit without the pretty colours of the stuff sold at race shops.

Yep you can also try refrigeration wholesale places, that's where I got mine. Got the offset hole and everything, and much cheaper than buying from a bloody racing car shop.

Mate of mine had this problem in an EL falcon. Replaced the throttle body and it was fine after that, don't ask me why it didn't affect petrol though. Doesn't really make sense.

Coil spacers SJ80

Yes I've searched :D

Does anyone know where I can get coil spacers for the front (or rear for that matter) of my coily zook? Got around 40mm spring lift, but the front was slightly lower. Added a steel bullbar, and now it's quite noticable and has an effect on approach angles.

I'm thinking that ...

Im assuming since you are talking about doing something for the front you have allready done the back and want more.....?

I was actually looking at the front because when the hubs are unlocked you can still steer properly etc, and this car is also my daily driver. Heard a rumour that it's legal ...

if the mod is illegal but not the cause of the accident you are still screwed. if you are driving around with an illegal mod, you are not road worthy, doesn't matter if it caused the accident or not.

a welded front would probably not be investigated by an insurance company in a normal smash etc ...

Yeah, but what I'm really worried about is if I write it off, and the insurance company finds the welded diff and my insurance is void because it's illegal. (Which I assume it is).

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.

Does anyone know if it's legal to weld a front diff? It doesn't have any effect if the hubs aren't locked, but I assume it's still illegal.

Coily front diff

Does anyone know if there is a locker that is a straight fit for the coily front diff? I've searched around on here and there's a few mentions of modifying the ARB Jimny one to fit, but I'd rather get a straight fit.

Weeping drag link?

Hi everyone, new poster here. I've just fitted an RTC damper onto my SJ80 sierra, and it looks like there is some lubricant weeping at the joins on both ends of the drag link. Pics below:
