Re: Hella Headlights on high beam

You'll probably find that the reflectors are designed around their globes.
If you have different globes that are of a different length then the pattern will not be ideal.
I'm running Cibie inserts and globes and very happy with them.

Typically 30M of 9 or 10mm fits on most low mount winches

Curious to the year range that the cable operated diff locks were available.
I assume it changed from the cable setup when they offered it on the 80 series Landcruiser's.

Toyota cable driven diff lock info

I've picked p a 60 series Landcruiser that had the factory cable driven diff locks retro fitted to it.

Just curious to what models came out with these diff locks?

Cheers,

Re: How to store water tanks?

I wouldn't stress about getting 100% of the water out. With my camper trailer I undo the drain plug and let it drain out and then re-fit the plug. When re-filling I run the hose a little to clean out the hose then partially fill the tank and empty again. Then I refill it. I have done it this way for ...

The one thig im not sold on is the remote control the winch dose not seem to stop as quick as when use via wire control. Most winches remote controls operate the same way. A delay to start and a delay to finish. Be particularly careful if your spooling the cable on in high speed with the remote ...

There's very small margins in battery trays so I doubt you can get much better that around $170-195 dependant on model.
IMO Piranha make the best trays, just over priced

We've only had to replace 2 shocks in the 2 1/2+ years we've been selling them. You can get good and bad reports on any shock on the market. My OME shocks leaked within 6 months, but we did do some pretty heavy corrugations in our 6 week/12,000Km trip. Not sure if any other shock would have faired ...

A diesel rubicon would cost about $5000 more than the petrol. Wouldn't be good for sales. Also, Chrysler AU have ditched the Off Road Group which was the 3.73 ratios (for manuals), electronic front swaybar disconnect and electric locking rear diff for 2011 models. The ebay add that you guys are referring to are mine. As stated earlier they are 3mm outer rings specially bent to locate the bead and to add strength. A folded steel done correctly can add much strength compared to a thicker flat steel. ARB use this philosophy with their bullbars for added strength ...
