Sorry for the re-dig, but just looked this thread up again.
Yep that's him.
Does anybody wheel with him or is he a Gloria Jeans wheeler?

Dirty, There are two holes already located through the top of the guard. I thought they must have been original with captive nuts below but maybe they were drilled by the previous owner? The two holes in the bottom of the 2nd hand ARB tray line up exactly with the holes in the guard. So if there are ...

GU 2nd battery tray
Hi all,
Recently purchased a 2nd hand ARB battery tray but the bolts that came with it are too small for the captive nuts in the top of the LHS wheel arch.
Does anybody know the size of the required bolts so I know what to ask for down at the nuts n bolts shop?
Thanks.

GU manual gearbox types
Hi all, Have searched and think I found relevant info but just want to double check. Series 1 GU TD4.2T has a FS5R50B gearbox doesn't it? 2.8L GU models - the FS5R30A gearbox? (And why does my Gregory's say it's a FS5930A box?) If the above info is correct, why does the FS5R50B have a smaller oil ...

I recently bought the 90-series Koni's but also got a quote on the 88-series - $500/pair front (88-1686) & $480/pair rear (88-1687). That's brand new so you might be better off buying new than paying $390/pair then $100 each to re-valve ($590/pair total). These were only for 2" lift though, but if ...

Unhappy with sideways action
Hi all, A months or so ago I put a 2" lift under the GU 4.2 wagon (Extra Heavy Duty King springs) with 90-series Koni shocks. Since then I have had the vehicle up to Wyperfield NP in the sand dunes and loved the performance of the springs/shocks, but over Easter the vehicle kicked sideways several ...

Can you get a close up photo of the broken studs? The fracture surface (if not damaged during the roll) can tell a lot. Not my vehicle Kiwi, found the details on a weekly newsletter that gets emailed around. Just hope it never happens to me. I'll keep a good eye on the nuts from now on (the fourby ...

Dodgy Patrol wheel studs?
Hi all, Below is scenario which I hope never happens to me (I've got an '01 4.2 wagon). Anybody else heard of this happening? We have recently returned from a four week excursion into the centre which was essentially a great experience for newcomers to the 4WD tribe. We were travelling in a 2004 ...
