Re: 1fzfe surge

Throttle Position Sensor usually plays funny buggers around 2000rpm mark on the 1FZ-FE so it could be this starting to fail, perhaps the Toyota diagnostic tool might pick up some fault codes.
This is often the case when water/mud get's into the TPS sensor and they don't rev past ~2500rpm

Good Luck

As Z()LTAN said simply T off the oil pressure sender and run the braided oil line up and over the back of the engine. Use a piece of rope etc to dummy fit and measure the size needed then go to pirtek or enzed and get one made up. Oil pressure sender has a 1/8 NPT thread. Have fun. http://img26 ...

New updated latch will help solve most of the annoying squeaking problems but they may come back in summer or really hot days so not a guaranteed fix but hell of a lot better. In the end I purchased all new rubber which made minimal difference. Some lube on the catches and silicon spray on the ...

Did you guys find the need to cut down and re machine your long fields by 6mm or so? There ends up being too much play and starts grinding away at your swivel housing etc.

Would help knowing what 80 series model and year you have fitted longs too as well.

Cheers.

Some more info on your vehicle would help... I'm tipping you have a GXL and full time 4WD? If it's pre 1993 you may want to upgrade to post 94 CV and flanges. Also consider a part time kit. "Sloppy driveline conversion" LINK Otherwise remove front and rear control arms and inspect bushes.

It is just above the injector lines. You wind it IN towards the engine to increase fuel, start off in small increments as every pump is different. You really do need an EGT gauge to monitor and give you an idea of what is happening. I highlighted my original position with a white paint marker and a ...

There is a good writeup on CT26 conversions here;
http://www.offroad80s.com/aftermarket-t ... t2398.html

If you only have the turbo and no other parts you are better off selling it and buying a complete aftermarket kit as it will start to cost you dollars doing it this way.
