Outer Limits 4x4 Board

The rover cages (and some nissan ute cab cages) 've seen have the A pillar hoop inside the cab, with the main bars beside your head exiting the cab joining to an external B pillar hoop.
This was a while ago, the CCDA rules are fairly clear. It would be worthwhile sketching it up and speaking to them ...

I saw this on the weekend as well.

Pulled the pinion flange out, without un-doing the nut from the tailshaft.

The one i saw was nroken in easy conditions, most likely fractured before as per slunnies post.

So put in one of many after market ball joints with more travel and reinforce the mount???

Do it.

So many reasons why.

Having used the cubelock, I wouldn't use it again.

I would use steel & ply for draws.

The cubelock flexes and creaks even when well braced.

If you want to comp it, cutting a few holes in the rear of the roof will be the least of your worries.

A mate mine runs one in a S3 truck cab (Very similar dash layout)

He has had to do lots of dash work to get the a-pillars right.

His set up is basically external 4pt + a pillar bars which come in through the roof.

Its to tight to get a internal 4pt, hence the external + internal a pillar bars ...

The snorkel itself is the same but the airbox connection will be different.

I've just started this conversion.

I'm using adjustable rear control arms to ensure that the GQ pinion flange is parallel to the TC output flange at ride height to reduce / remove vibrations.

I'm also using GQ tail shafts, as the uni's are also bigger to combat this issue.

For what I paid for ...

Hi,

a GQ axle in the back is always a problem because the drive shaft.

But anyway i am speak about the clearance under the front diff ( ~1.3" lower than RR front diff).

2) No. 4.10 to 4.11 is 0.0024% difference (ie negligible)

Hi,

1)the diff of the GQ is so big that you need 3" bigger tyres to get the same clearance under the diff.

2)And to get the same ratio nissan/toyota you need a diff centre from the 75 series in the back.

3)Stay on the maxis or do a toy conversion.

1)No. You loose 10mm under ...

I ran 14 usually with internal beadlocks then lower if required.

Just be careful with them on 8'' rims. They would suit 7'' or even 6.5''.

Groove the centre lug too.

If you buy a cover make sure it is an ...

Trust me - Rays can get whatever you want out of Engel.

Don't take no for an answer - it is just a 'special' customer order.

Engel are great to deal with - I wouldn't be blaming them. It is the retailer's problem from what you have described.

I have a set of compass 2000 on my front bar that are getting a HID kit soon.
Really easy to convert as the have a seal back which is bolted on.

Metal case, and reasonably priced - not the same light through out standard as other makes but with a HID kit they are great ...

RangeRov in Mitcham CAN get the spacers.

Triumph rover spares in Adelaide sell a complete kit on their website for about $450.

I just ordered Defender Calipers (Bigger pistons-46mm)from Paddocks in the UK at 60pound each, so with some other gear they are on their way to my door at bong on $500 ...
