You'll be hunting far and wide to find a 78 series ute.... 79's are as common as dirt, but 78's tend to be found only with troopy bodys on them ;) Funny bastard. Anyway 79 Muster was limited production and has been NLA for months and months, so you've missed the boat on that one. Current model 79 ...

One issue I can see is the relocation of the number plate. Whilst it is easy to mount on the carrier a picky traffic cop can ping you for not having the number plate illuminated. With all the excellent work so far would hate to see any faults in the final product. And some final pics with tyre ...

Also, have a 253 in RN46 Hilux.

Have you used any off the shelf extractors for this application before as there is not a lot of space.

would just a 2.25" twin system be ok for the rest?

What fits where a 253 red motor was?

Hi,

just picked up an LN46 Hilux with a tidy 253 red motor conversion.
what fits where a 253 was (ie. interchangable engine mounts, bellhousing pattern, flywheel to crank bolt pattern, etc.)

308, sure, anything else? like a 283/307/350 chev or something? what do ppl use in these cars?
