All 3 will be as reliable as each other, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, best thing you can do is choose the how much grunt you want then find the best motor available then install it properly - don't cut any corners. Personally I'd back the 1.6 16valve EFI motor, with extractors so ...

It still however idols perfectly at this stage, and can be revved a ...

No you can't use the centres or the ring and pinion and mix and match, Won't work.
You will be able to use the cv's if you want.

You will need bigger u bolts for the 1.3 housing because they are a bit wider.
Waste of time if you ask me, if it's not broken don't fix it.

Thanks for the info so far,

have these motors that heat up been fitted with an intercooler?

I think the biggest issue i'm going to have is finding space to mount the s/c...still trying to find someone that has fitted the sc12 up.

The rims have more than enough clearance from the springs, the tyres are where you will have the poblems,
My mate is running those tyres on a samurai, had to trim the wheel arches and the firewall.

That's what i was hoping to hear,

I've done a search and there's a lot of talk about the subjet but there's a lack of good acurate information and photos of the job complete.

It would be nice to get a good idea of know how before I start.
