Hey guys
Be gentle as its my first post over in the dark side
The 3 litre TD GU Patrol with all there problems....Is there a particlular build date onwards where the problem is no longer an issue and I can buy a second hand one with relative surity that its not going to cark it

I would say a second hand Tirfor would be a better buy. I have had one but sold it when i got a electric winch. The thing is most hand winches would not have been used very often as they are f&*king hard work.

Go and see a Locksmith (not a "key cutter") and get a key cut to code NOT DUPLICATED this would be a good start, then graphite as already said, if this is no good locks will need to be rekeyed.

Very good question, I dont know the answer though. I to noticed this when I put my landcruiser rims on the wifes Jackaroo. I didn't like the way the bolts were hoding the weight so got tyres swapped to the OEM Jackaroo rims. Don't know if it was a problem or not as 2wds and some commerical vehicles ...

I have a box of "bend over for your examination" latex gloves for the oily stuff, hate the smell of diff oil on the skin, the wife dosn't much care for it it either

At 2500kay why would one say that it was "serviced by a diesel mechanic at regular intervals"??? What did he do service it everytime it went out of the shed? Something isn't right there... MAybe he serviced it on the time past not milage, like when ya service book says, service due xxxxxkm or 3 ...
