I put 33's on mine as daily drivers and it actually gets the speedo nearly perfect. At 100kmh on the speedo i am actually doing 101kmh according to the GPS. As for power loss i can't tell you i noticed anything from 32's to 33's. With the 36's on it sucks though!

BTW, i have a 2000 4.2TD and generally get around 14l/100km's. Doesn't tend to change much though. Got similar figures going across the Simpson fully loaded. Has 33's and about 3" lift

So what you're telling me is that he should've stuck with the GU! I already knew that.

Anyone know what it costs to replace a CV on one of these as opposed to the $1300 he was quoted for the diff rebuild? Mind you $1300 seems pretty reasonable for that.

G'Day arb383, Sorry probably should have mentioned that already. It is an IFS. Does the locker add any strength to the diff in these? As per that last two posts, hand winching is hard word. But in saying that i would use a hand winch over a Hi-lift anyday and winching with a Hi-lift makes a hard job even harder. I use a 20L jerry can as part of my drawer system. Fits in nicely behind the 40L engel. There are still pics on here i think. otherwise can send pics if that helps.

Update. Went ahead and bought the XP and installed it yesterday. Took a bit of fiddling to get it right. Had to cut off the mount and move it 30mm to make the winch fit but it's all in and working. Have taken some photos which i will try to post up here when i get a chance if anyone is interested ...

There are two small slots near the bottom corners of the fascia panel. Put a small screwdriver in there and it should just pop off fairly easily.
