I put 33's on mine as daily drivers and it actually gets the speedo nearly perfect. At 100kmh on the speedo i am actually doing 101kmh according to the GPS. As for power loss i can't tell you i noticed anything from 32's to 33's. With the 36's on it sucks though!

Hey Dave, I have the Tough Dog adjustables on my 4.2TD GU and have found them really good. Been through the Flinders, Vic High country and many others touring as well as plenty of tough weekenders with the 36" Pedes on. I have about 3-4" of lift (Pro Comp coils). Also have a mate who got the Koni's ...

Hi David, I had this happen in mine and after plenty of pushing eventually got Nissan to come to the party. They only supplied the required parts and i had to pay Labour ($1700 approx from memory). They just fitted the later model part with full length splines. If you have to pay for the whole lot ...

Best I got with the same vehicle (33" tyress/2" lift) was between 12 and 20 lite per 100. Depends how I drove. One night while spotlighting and idling around paddocks in 1st and 2nd gear I was stunned ti find that I used 92 litres for 105 kms! Didn't shoot a hole in the tank did you?! 92 litres ...

Thanks Guys,

So what you're telling me is that he should've stuck with the GU! I already knew that. ;)

Anyone know what it costs to replace a CV on one of these as opposed to the $1300 he was quoted for the diff rebuild? Mind you $1300 seems pretty reasonable for that.

G'Day arb383, Sorry probably should have mentioned that already. It is an IFS. Does the locker add any strength to the diff in these? Hi, Had a mate away with us on the weekend in a 100 series Cruiser and he blew his front diff. Anyone on here done the same and have any advice on stronger fixes than a standard rebuild? Hi All, Does anyone on here have 4WD specific insurance? Can you recommend it as opposed to going with a 'normal' insurer? I have just got a quote from Affinity for my 2000 Patrol to compare it to my normal insurance through AAMI. I spotted the ad for them in the FWDVic newsletter so thought i ...
