Re: 1976 nissan G60 cab/chassis ute suspension mods

yeah, had to do a little cutting on the foot wells just to fit the engine width. but as far as how far forward it can all come is a real balance between radiator gap, tail shaft lengths etc, was a bit of a pain really, but as the rear shaft is so short i really didn't want to muck with it too much ...

Hi there, what drive line are you running in the 'ol g60? I have just dropped a tickled 253, manualized turbo 350, 75 series transferr with 55% reduction gears in my G60, but mine is just a non-reg shooting rig/toy.

Re: Need help on ford 2.5L Deisel for a buggy

i have a 2004 courier, from my understanding it is the last year before the common rail came in, mine definately has older style mechanical injection, which is good for what you want, because there is a lot less electronics. Just beware that the wlt engine is prone to heat issues and cracking heads ...

i am planning on fitting an aftermarket intercooler on mine, there seems to be plenty of space there waiting to be filled??? from what i have been told the main thing that kills these engines is high egt's, so i figure a bigger cooler can't but help to lower them, as well as a pyro gauge to keep ...

31's are about the biggest you can fit without major mods and money. The standard suspension lift is 40-50mm and anything bigger than 31's will rub.

Hope this helps

ok so now things got really bad, after everything was back together, she started great, no smoke or steam, but as it warmed up it started to steam. decided to bite the bullet and send it in for a full diagnostic at turbo engineering in thomastown, they didn't even get it onto the dyno as when they ...

Re: Exhaust on Ford courier 2.5TD

update, now removed the pod set up and gone back to original airbox and filter, soon to fit snorkel. pod didn't filter well enough and caused the turbo to flog it'self out and start passing oil = massive smoke on idle and accelleration. Modifying exhaust again too to get rid of some more noise ...

Re: Courier Body lift

try winding your existing tortion bars up a bit more where they have sagged, however without chopping guards you will always get some scrubbing somewhere in the articulation range with 33's on a courier. as for body lift, huge job on a courier from what all the shops told me when i looked at it, the ...

ok, so the bastard started overheating again, radiator cap is fine, this time replaced thermostat, (bugger of a job), still no good, and now started to blow masive clouds of smoke unless you keep the revs over 2200. Turbo now removed and in to be overhauled. also pulled glow plugs and no.1 was ...

i put the efs kit in, complete with upper front shock mount re-inforcing plates, very happy with it, and worked out cheaper than an ironman kit once you added new shackles, etc to the list price of ironman kit.

did mine in a 2004 courier, thought it would be a big job as in my previous 'lux's and cruisers, but only took about 20 mins, hardest part is to flex the idler pulley away far enough to get slack for the new belt, (un-stretched). but with a big enough lever it wasn't too bad.

for what you plan to use it for, and that you are "no pro", it will do the job just fine, and with the mask thrown in, it is a good deal. If you were going to use it full time, on the upper end of the amp range, i would say get a better machine like a fronius, essetti, lincoln, or miller. Also worth ...

another thing worth thinking about is, depending on the length of your welds, is turnig the amps down a bit gradually, or have a mate do it, whilst you get further into the weld. the problem with aluminium is that it conducts heat alot faster and a much larger spread than other materials. Also, just ...
