Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Yeah I have read the thread on the tigerz winch but I am properly going to go with the Superwinch just want to no if any here has got one or had one and there feedback on it. The Tigerz comp winch are only doing a small number of them and then they will just be concentrating on there other winch's.

Anyone here have one??? looking at one of these or a 10 000lb Tigerz 11 comp sec. Just want to no if anyone has this model Superwinch and if there happy with it. In the 4wd Monthly Comparo the Superwinch 8000lb didn't fair too well but this one is an updated version with a differnt thermal cutout as ...

Let me guess....the plug closest to the firewall, When I bought my grand I changed the plugs in mine and the one closest to the firewall looked like it had never been changed in it's life.(bought it with full work shop history) So even the professionals must think its to hard to change :x :x :x ...

Have a look at battriesdirect.com.au I bought a optoma yellow D34 from the for $322 bucks, cheapest I could find. Went to my local batteryworld and they quoted $420 for the same battery.

No more lux the arms are off my long armed jeep..

Can anyone recommend a fabricator/engineer on the Gold Coast as I need my rear control arms fabed to make them adjustable. At the moment the rear axle points towards the centre of the road.

Hey Cal8544, Ironrock do 3 and 4'5 inch lifts also.

Checkout ironrock.com I just ordered there premium longarm kit with 5'5inch springs,high clearance arms. also claytons.com do a 6'inch weldon kit. Proberly the best two kits on the market.

Engineer didn't bat an eyelid at the replacement arms on my 2dr JK - nor the 35" tyres. He didn't like the offset of the aftermarket rims though - busted the limits for extending the track width, so I had to go back to the stock rims.

4.5" lift seems to be the max limit for the JK as the ...

Hmmm.. I have a 5.5' inch longarm kit on the way from the US for my new WJ plan on running 33's on road, I wonder if I will run into any problems? I see plenty of Nissans and toyo's running around on 35's (Gold Coast).

Just sold my extra cab with the commo. motor for $10k, would of been an awsome rig with coils under it. Highly recommend the the the commo motor had it in mine for 8yrs done right they run great.

Hey mate, just wondering which way you went for a radiator fan thermos or engine fan? I have a viscous clutch fan which works well on mine, Always interesting to hear what others have done. Have you had any dramas with the driveline other than the tranny? Conversions really do seem like a never ...

Yeah I've been happy with mine, I did the conversion in 2001 so its been in a while. Sure beats the 22r

where did you get your motor from? im keen to do the conversion one day.

Looks neat and tidy but do you really belive it's only averaged 7500km's a year for 14 years??? Must of been a little old lady that only drove it to church on sundays......

Hey mate, I still got the standard 5-speed in mine and was dyno'd with a crook head and got 83 kw at the wheels (33's) then with a chiptorque chip got 87 kw 4100rpm. Torque was 250Nm at 2700rpm Haven't had it dyno'd now with the heads reco'd but the dyno guys said should have close to 100kws now..

Hey Brad how do you find the lockrite in the rear on road?? I have mine in the front and was thinking of getting one for the back but have heard that they can make a heap of noise and arn't much fun to drive when it is wet, any info would be great...

I got 2 of them. Go the OMVL positive pressure system with self learning computer. Diff ratio of 4.3 with a manual box will never see you need to rev the engine from a stand, just let the clutch out slow and it won't stall.

If you got a snorkel a balance tube will be needed between the filter box ...

x2 There a great motor stock and even better with a little work done to them.. Have a look on www.nagc.com its a forum for grand cherokee's and has great info on everything....

i have made a new and improved one just recently for a guy off this board, rusty_burrows , maybe he can put up some pics.

Once i welded my old one on properly it was fine, still being abused to this day.
