The only downside to a straight gas set up IMO is range. With duel fuel, I can carry jerries of petrol to keep topped up when on a day trip or weekend away far from a servo. Can't do that with gas. That is the only reason I am sticking with dual fuel. All my previous cars have been straight gas ...

you cant turbo the std carb without alot of . around. If you want cheap power an impco gas turbo setup is the way to go. Did mine n all up it cost bout 3k inc dyno time. My writeup isnt on here tho. But yes it can be done cheap x2 I was toying with the idea of turboing my rb30 carby a couple of ...

Ye thats the guy i got my shims from, i got 4 thinking my lsd was buggered, but was only able to fit 1 in hehe, well atleast i got some spares now for later.

Shimmed mine about a year ago, i could only fit 1 in 1 side, the carrier still had a gap of about .2 of a mm, but when i did it up, it pulled together nicely. It was like a locker at first but has worn down a bit now, its actually quite nice now, will spin both easily when i want it to :lol:

The base plate contains a restriction ring and a heating element, my guess is the heating element is to try an atomize the fuel better? made mine go alot better once it was ripped out :)

betcha any money its the left 1 leaking? because the axle wip's against the driveshaft seal thats what stuffs them its a normal thing patrols but ye good time to regrease bearings/seals etc while ur at it
