Got a toyota 1kz turbo diesel in my 84 lux. Runs fine but wondering if it should have a low pressure electric pump from the tank to the injector pump? Running a GQ tank where spare tyre used to be.

try a 'commercials' wrecker. Hiace vans have 4.1 diffs that fit hilux

I have chain drive transfer for sale from a R151 but have swapped the input with a G52 transfer to avoid change to a manual shifting transfer. so it is an R151 transfer with G52 input. Guess that makes it a G52 transfer.

My question is which toyotas have higher ratio diffs than 4.1's other than a standard 1KZ hilux. I dont want to run bigger tyres on road and as for being a drag car.......NOT!!!

Currently have 4.1 hiace diffs in 84 lux with 1KZ and 33's but think I need something higher. It has plenty of torque and is all rev and no go.

What toyotas have higher ratios, like 3.7 or something?? I know the factory 1KZ lux has 3.797 but too bloody dear from the wreckers.

Put it this way. If the range of movement in the pedal is 100% then I only need to use about 20 % of it to get full throttle response. Obviously a retune would be required but just wondering if it is possible. Have a 2L with turbo kit and boost compensator on pump. Want to swap pumps with my brothers 3L turbo that hasnt got a boost compensator. They are a pretty expensive item.

can these injector pumps be swapped from a 2L to a 3L and vice versa?
