ARB Bar
Hey Huson. Your bar looks like mine. Is it steel? I have the same on my 97NL and have just fitted a warn8000 winch to it after geting the same reply. If its ARB and Steel then its winch compatible. It had bolt holes and a cable hole in the front. Had to cut a hole in the top for the fat cable and ...

Well that was easy
rang up the DPI this morning. Waited on hold for around 15 minutes. Not impressed. However things took a quick turn around. within 30 seconds a guy had directed me to a link on the DPI website which is a declaration, no proof required. Filled it in and dropped it off. All sorted.

The alarm in keyless. Little remote. DPI = Department of Planning and Infrastructure. They handle car licensing. Well it has a wireless remote. Quite a common one as other cars I have had have had the same remote. Looks like a jelly bean. Its conforms to all the DPI guidelines however all the wires ...

Immobiliser and DPI WA
I have a letter from the DPI that my 97 Pajero does not have an immobilizer fitted. It definitely does but to prove so I have to supply Type, Installed by, Date installed and serial number. Anyway can't find where the unit is and don't see the point in taking it to someone to check it out. Pretty ...

Center Diff lock not locking
got a 93 Nissan Pajero SWB and noticed the other day that the center diff lock does not engage. Light just keeps flashing. Is this the same sort of problem as the front hubs which are vacuum operated?
Common problem? Easy fix?
Thanks

Hmm. Its only on the fronts and new shocks. The tread starts as flat then slowly wears a ramp on the back face to the front edge of the lug. The tyres were rotated/reversed the tyres (Front to back) and it started again while the now back tyres started to wear flat. Only impact is lots of noise at ...

Changing wheels on NL Pajero
I have just brought a NL GLX Pajero which has 15x7jj Sunraiser rims with Cooper ST tyres on it. The cooper tyres seem to be suffering a funny wear pattern which is taking the front of the tread lug of creating a ramped lug. The main issue is a loud droning around at 100kph+ What I was going to do ...

Pajero and Lokka
Okay. Reading bits and pieces and filtering the fluff from fact I have come up with the following which I hope is right. Please correct if wrong. Looking at upgrading from FJ62 to NL Pajero and just trying to expand my knowledge. 1: On the pajero chuck it in the front. Resolves IFS limitations. 2 ...

Buying 1997 Pajero NL GLX 2.8 Turbo Diesel. Pointers?
Currently looking at buying 97 Pajero. Anything to look out for? Took it for a test drive and at idle oil pressure seemed to sit at 1kg/cm? 2kg/cm while driving. Seemed low. Okay? Also smoked under power but dark and couldn't see if over fueling or oil? Other than that seemed okay. Strengths or ...

100 series diff center in 60 series??
I read that the 100 series diff centers were the same as the 60 series. Looking at chucking a 100 series LSD in my FJ62.
Safe and easy or not?
thanks

The cruiser uses a clutch pack limited slip diff which I imagine would be a bit more progressive. Already have one on the back and no issues yet. I imagine however that a LSD in the front would actually help. With both wheels forcing the turn. Only downsides would be extra tyre wear and extra load ...

First priority is to find this vibration. 98% of the time it is smooth and silky but twice now the vibration and the pulsing in the brake pedals has started and then fades a few minutes latter. Driving vibration is simialr to a badly out of balance tyre. If you apply the brakes you can feel it there ...

Cool. What sort of LSD type do they have? Shimmed to the max?? The reason this thought has started is that the last two times I have driven long distance the truck a vibration has started and then faded away. Eg last weekend drove 300k with 75k being off road. It didn't start to vibrate until I was ...

Issues with putting LSD on front of 4wd?
Is it possible to take a LSD from the rear of a 4wd and put it on the front? I have an FJ62 Landcruiser with a rear LSD diff and would imagine that have LSD front and rear would help traction etc. I imagine it would be just a case of swapping the heads. What potential issues could be encountered ...
