I have AU xr8 seats, gotta make sure there the ones without the pretensioners so you can adapt the seat belt buckle on. Compared to the GXL seats they are in another league. Not sure on the base model ones, nut both only cost 350. The steel is $10 so makes them a lot cheaper than one arb one

I've got the seats, sorta working through it. I think by cutting of the ford runners and welding a piece of steel across should bolt onto the toyota runners. Hopefully someone has some pics otherwise i will post up when i sort it out.

There is a few posts on ExplorOz but no pics

Yeah they are a pretty easy fit, just remove the runners and make a bracket to adapt. minimal work. Just need a couple of pics of th bracket to get going

After some serious research on the Sidewinder, i thought it read alright. The Compressor should be okay from what it reads and at the end of the day that is where the reliablity is

I'll check those fridges out. Just really wondering on the reliability of anything other than Engel.

I did mean the Companion was $800, the engel is around $1700. Big difference but over 10-15 years might be cheaper...

Companion 55 litre fridge/freezer

I agree, price is not an issue. I have read a lot of forums and many are suggesting high detergent oils and Castrol Magnatec seems to be coming up a lot. Any feedback?

What OIL do you use in your Rover v8??

Just in the process of rebuilding my sludged up V8. Been running Penrite but now i'm not so sure. What grade and brand is everyone using and what is your experience with keeping the engine clean and head gasket leaks?

*** Help with waterproof igntions on 3.9 V8 - HEI ? ***

Looking at doing the conversion to the buick HEI but just wanted to get some input how waterproof it makes the engine. Can anyone shed some light on their experience with the Buick dissy VS Rover dissy in terms of waterproof? Also and reccomendations on where to purchase on ebay?

You will have to use a manual computer for delco if you go later than VN. Part numbers are 1227808 or 1613082. Go the Delco except for high end aftermarket its a lot more progammable. Only have drama when 2 bar or more boost run but it is able to be worked around.

IMO the Longfields are obviously strong noone denies that. The problem is that what else are you gonna break... Crownwheel and pinion comes to mind, axles, tailshafts, transmission. Smithy has shown that running early rangie cv's and a 10 spline outer is the easiest way to deal with the weak rover ...

Thanks!

Yeah Cloughy's answer was the one i was chasing. When i do put the maxi drive in i will use early rangie cv's and the 10 spline outer becomes the fuse plus it's 10 minutes to replace in the bush. Those chro-moly CV's sound nice but what do i start breaking once i fit those!

10 spline vs 32 Spline front diff....which is stronger????

Ok, long story short, I am putting a rear maxi drive in and will have to put up with the front setup except for 4.11 ratio for a while. I can't fit early Rangie CV's with a 24 spline centre without aftermarket axles, which i will get when i buy a maxi drive. If i put a 10 spline centre in i can run ...

Yeah I have LRA long travel kit and if you already have 2 inch spring lift then the shocks will give you a lot more travel, that is what limits the downward travel. Plus you get dislocators so the spring will drop off its seat. Make sure you run soft springs as well, you will not get any flex with ...

2 Inch Spring lift. 2 inch body lift. Keeps centre of gravity low so you wont fall over on a decent sideslope. LRA long travel kit + matching Bilsteins. Driveline angles will be still ok with this setup. Put on 35's and you'll have 6 inch lifted patrols winching off your tow hitch.
