mate do the leads,i had the exact problem only mine missed under load and idle.
put the leads on today(farking expencive $225.00) and fixed all the problems

hi there,need some help urgently
i have a deisel cruiser,over the last 3 months while im driving it will just completly shut off...i let it sit for a minute but then it will do it agian.
now the last week it sometimes wont start back up.
its giving me the shits and has nearly killed me twice ...

i have just bought a 60 series deisel cruiser.
i have been cleaning up the wirering under the dash and removed the power brake thing that you use to tow caravans with.
now after iv finished the dash lights are staying on.
and over night both batteries have completly died.

well than that has made the choice so much easyer.
atleast now i can answer my own questions,and also when the wifey ask them to.
i think to be honest im going to go with the 3.0L turbo deisel.
the reason being is i wont ever be towing anything,and as far as 4x4ing goes the sand and some light bush ...

hi there,im in the market for a 99 model GU turbo deisel.
iv looked at heaps and have my heart set on one,but someone asked me today whats the differents between the 4 cyl ones and the 6 cyl turbo deisel.
i had no answer apart from more turque from the 6....

what are the pros and cons of the both ...

mate im replacing the head on my 2h deisel,do you know all the figures for refitting the head...as in how tight to make the head bolts.i know its just as easy to go and buy a land cruiser work shop manual,but i havnt got that convenience till the old girl is back on the road.

those figures do sound low...but come to think of it when i undid the head bolts they whernt ultra tight....small rachet and they where all lose.

anyway iv got a new head and all the gaskets i need to bolt it back on....

what i need to know is does anyone out there know the settings for tensioning the head down.....and any other setting or info i need to know about ...
